Richard Ofosu Acheampong

Richard Ofosu Acheampong is a Partner at IKERN. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Chartered Tax practitioner. He has over sixteen (16) years cumulative working experience across several industries, thirteen (13) years of which have been in the capacity of a Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Practitioner                         

Richard is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-UK, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG). Richard also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree, Accounting and Finance Option from the University of Professional Studies, Accra and is a member of the Network Panel of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Ghana.

Richard has demonstrated and extensive knowledge and experience in taxation, auditing, corporate reporting, corporate, financial and tax strategy as well as business advisory, structuring and Mergers and Acquisitions. He also has a wide range of lecturing and training experience as a lecturer of many of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification papers including Audit and Assurance, Financial Management, Strategic Business Analysis and Management Accounting. He was also a lecturer of Tax Audit and Special Investigations, a final level One (1) paper of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana qualifying examinations. Richard was also a Teaching Assistant at the graduate school of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) where he supported in teaching the Law of Taxation and Fiscal Policy as well as Management Accounting

Richard he has led and managed many assignments on assurance, tax compliance and planning, business structuring and advisory, mergers and acquisitions, global mobility, immigration and pensions as well as other allied services including tax and financial due diligences, tax advisory on mergers and acquisitions, pre-money valuations and other high level business advisory assignments. His experience spans over several industries including donor funded projects, insurance, manufacturing (including Fast Moving Consumer Goods), banking and non-bank financial institutions, free-zones, real estate, mining and mine services, oil and gas, medical, hospitality and mechanical/electrical engineering industries in Ghana.

Prior to Joining IKERN, Richard was Finance Manager of Sunripe Foods Limited, Deputy Finance Manager at Blue Skies, and Accountant at Trassaco Valley Phase-II HOA. He was also a Senior Manager at De-Wills Consulting where he specialized in internal control and process audits as well as E-Systems implementations and appraisals/audit.
